Thoughtful, creative and thorough, Jim Abrams is an experienced attorney addressing every area of labor and employment law.  He has represented corporate, private and government clients.  His government clients included the Occupational Safety and Health Administration - OSHA, the Employment Standards Administration - Wage and Hour Division and the Employment Training Administration. Jim also obtained his Compensation Certification from the American Compensation Association. His other practice areas include proceedings under the Department of Regulatory Agencies, State Personnel Board proceedings, discrimination, wrongful discharge and unemployment law. Jim also frequently represents clients in general civil and personal injury litigation.

 

Jim has over three decades of experience in the public sector as a former federal prosecutor and in the private sector as former corporate counsel to Rockwell International and Texaco.  He is now an attorney in private practice. Jim has participated in thousands of cases during his career.

 

Jim received his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma Medical Center. He was the recipient of a United States Public Health Service Traineeship. He received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma where he was named to the Dean’s List.

 

Jim was trained at the United States Department of Justice.  Jim also served as a United States Navy Commander in the Navy’s Medical Department and served with the Centers for Disease Control ( CDC ) and Prevention as an officer in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
